Lucille M. Simon Gettelfinger, 96, formerly of Ramsey, died Friday, January 14th, at Northwood Good Samaritan Home in Jasper.
A native of Depauw, born October 11, 1903, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary Gurtz.
She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Rita's Alter Society and Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gettelfinger, a son, Keith and a grandson.
Survivors include a son, Rex Gettelfinger of Jeffersonville; three daughters, Mary Ann Seng and Madelyn Hulsman, both of Jasper, Ruth Helen Fliehman of New Paris, Ohio; a brother, Albert Simon of Depauw; three sister, Kathleen Harpe of Borden, Magdalene Kaper of Bel Aire, Md., and Annabelle Jackson of Indianapolis; 20 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral was Monday, January 17, at Saint Bernard Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bishop Gerald Gettelfinger and Father Fred Denison officiated. Michelle Whittaker was organist and the church choir sang. Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey handled the arrangements.
The family suggest memorial gifts to the Saint Bernard Capital Campaign Fund.
Pallbearers were David, John and Joe Seng, Andy Hulsman, and Keith and Paul Fliehman.

RAMSEY - Lucille M. Simon Gettelfinger, 96, died Friday at Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasper.
She was a native of Depauw and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown.
Survivors: a son, Rex Gettelfinger; daughters Mary Ann Seng, Ruth Helen Fliehman and Madelyn Hulsman; a brother, Albert Simon; sisters Cathleen Harpe, Magdalene Caper and Annabelle Jackson; 20 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, her church. Burial: church cemetery.
Visitation: Swarens, 2-9 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday.
Memorial gifts: her church's campaign fund.
