Congleton, Gertrude Elwanda Congleton, nee Binegar Source: The Marietta [Ohio] Times; 30 Nov 1993 MARIETTA -- Gertrude Elwanda Congleton, 69, of 103 Wynncrest Drive died Saturday evening (Nov. 27, 1993) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born June 25, 1924, at Pine Ridge, Newport, to Clarence and Carrie Herlan Binegar. She was a graduate of Newport High School. Mrs. Congleton is survived by her husband, Hayward J. Congleton; one daughter, Judith Ann Reynolds of Vincent; four grandchildren, Kelly Sue Pahl, Shannon Reynolds and Autumn Reynolds, all of Vincent, and Misty Anderson of Barlow; two great-grandchildren, Rachael and Kayla Pahl of Vincent; her mother of Newport; five sisters, Delorace Thomas of Reno, June Wigal of Marietta, Phyllis Bowersock of Bloomfield and Mona Bond and Patricia Lamp, both of Newport; and three brothers, Merle Binegar of Antioch, Orville Binegar of Eureka, W. Va., and Lyle Binegar of Newport. She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Kenneth Binegar and Furl Binegar. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McClure-Schafer Funeral Home with Pastor Doradean Rinard officiating. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
