Abraham, "one of the oldest members of Touro Snynagogue," was seventy-two years old at his death. He was survived by his wife of forty-two years, Julia Kaufman Shwartz; three sons—Nathan I. Shwartz, Leon L. Shwartz, and Simon J. Shwartz; and a daughter, Mrs. Herman Neugass.
