Marlys G. STEIN Obituary
Age 79 of Hudson, FL Formerly of Cottage Grove, MN Born April 25, 1937 in Slayton, MN. Preceded in death by parents Albin & Jennie Nelson; sister Muriel Manuel; brother James; daughter Karla; husbands Glen and Carl Danes; 16 aunts & uncles. Survived by son John; grandchildren Jonathon, Jessica (Kevin) Jessen, Angie, Casey, Sunny; 5 nephews; 1 niece; sister-in-law Ruth Nelson; many cousins and friends. Marlys had a full life, she hunted, fished, golfed, bowled, boated, volunteered with different organizations, belonged to VFW, American Legion, Moose, Elks, DAV Lioness, Eagles. She attended the different sporting events of her children and traveled the world. She was employed by Braniff and NWA Airlines for 36 years. Marlys lived in Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO, and Cottage Grove, MN. She retired and moved to Florida in 1996. Her summers were spent at Big Sand Lake at her cabin, and traveled the US in her motor home including Alaska. Funeral service NOON, Thursday, May 26 at All Saints Lutheran Church (8100 Belden Blvd. Cottage Grove) with a visitation starting at 11am. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred. Please join the family at the VFW in Cottage Grove following the burial.
