Louisa (Schmitt) Wingert was born 2 Feb 1813 in Nünschweiler, Pfalz, in the Kingdom of Bavaria, a daughter of Wilhelm and Margaretha (Sprau) Schmitt.
She was married to Johann Nikolaus Weber in Bavaria in 1833 and later to Georg Heinrich "Henry" Wingert sometime around 1838. She and her first husband Nikolaus settled in northern Young Township, Jefferson County, PA with the Schmitts in late 1833.
Louisa died at home in Young Township, Jefferson County on 7 Jan 1892 and was presumably interred at the German Reformed church cemetery on the 9th.
She was the mother of nine children by her two husbands, all of whom were raised in Young Township. She had one step-daughter, Luise Wingert, later the wife of James Conrad of Big Run.
