Aberdeen - The funeral service for Raymond ?Sonny? L. Glaser, 70, of Aberdeen will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary, 414 Fifth Ave. NW., Aberdeen. Rev. Harold E. Salem will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery with military rites by the Sidney L. Smith American Legion Post No. 24 of Aberdeen. Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2003, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. till the time of the service all at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary. Sonny passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at his home. Raymond L. Glaser was born February 14, 1933, to Gustave and Martha (Glaser) Glaser at Aberdeen, where he was raised, attended public schools and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School. Raymond entered the U.S. Army on May 5, 1953. He received his honorable discharge May 3, 1955 and returned to Aberdeen. Raymond was employed with the Great Northern Railroad for several years. He later worked for Zeller Construction Company until his retirement. Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed camping and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Raymond is survived by three sisters, Dorothy (Allen) Zeller of Aberdeen, Martha (Dennis) Schwan of Fresno, Calif., and Gloria (Allen) Zeller of Fresno, Calif.; four brothers; Don (Gayle) Glaser of Milwaukee, Wis., Kenneth Glaser of Aberdeen, Jerry (Darlene) Glaser of Everett, Wash. and Lester (Geraldine) Glaser of Aberdeen; and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marvin Sr. Pallbearers will be Doug Glaser, Wayne Glaser, Dave Zeller, Bruce Zeller, Marv Glaser and Dennis Glaser. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Sonny's nieces and nephews. Special music will be by Jack Glaser and Marv Glaser.
