San Antonio, Texas - Rodney Lee Hruby, 44, of San Antonio, Texas and formerly of Aberdeen, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at San Antonio, Texas. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 South Main St., Aberdeen with Major Ed Wilson Jr. presiding. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, and from 8 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Rodney Lee Hruby was born April 11, 1961, at Bismarck, N.D., to Herman and Arvadella (Stoebner) Hruby. He attended high school and college in Aberdeen. While attending college, he worked at Avera St. Luke's Hospital and Bethesda Nursing Home. After graduating from Presentation College, he continued his profession in Abilene, Texas. He then moved to San Antonio, Texas and became employed at St. John's Baptist Hospital as a Registered Nurse and later became the Emergency Room Director of the hospital. Rodney also assisted lawyers in medical cases. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed caring for others. He also enjoyed dancing, gardening and his pets. He especially enjoyed the outdoors. His memory lives on with his parents, Herman and Arvadella Hruby of Aberdeen, S.D.; his daughter, Crystal Wilson Neil of San Antonio, Texas; his loving friend, Glenda Wilson of San Antonio, Texas and son Brett Wilson; three sisters, Melinda (Larry) Hopfinger of Aberdeen, Karen Hruby of Rapid City, S.D. and Donna (Lyle) Hopfinger of Mina, S.D.; four brothers, Brian Hruby of Aberdeen, Dr. Scott Hruby of Austin, Texas, Dr. Bradley (Catrina) Hruby of Webster, S.D. and Troy Stoebner of Aberdeen; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Casket bearers will be Jeffrey Wanner, Jason Hopfinger, Christopher Hopfinger, Gerad Hopfinger, Aaron Hruby and Paul Hopfinger.
