FRITTS, Doris A. 79, of Springfield died Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Oakwood Village, following a struggle with Parkinsons Disease. She was born May 10, 1930 in Huntington, West Virginia the daughter of Chester and Ethel (Gruber) Bowman. Doriss passions in life were spending time with her family and working at Krogers, where she retired after thirty years. She is survived by her husband Robert I. Fritts, with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage on January 20; one daughter and son-in-law Sharon A. and Robert Tschantz of Canton, Ohio; two sons and daughters-in-law Robert A. and Beverly Fritts of Lansing, Michigan, and Dennis I. and Teresa Fritts of Springfield; two sisters Phyllis Feirstine and Mary (David) Snyder, both of Springfield; five grandchildren Robert (Molly) Fritts, Jennifer (Robert) David, Angela (Gareth) Beaty, Tony Fritts and Chris Fritts; three great grandchildren Madelyn, Rory and Anthony Fritts; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Delores Jean Parsell and Alice McCurry; and a nephew Steven Adams. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
