olet B. Dockter was born October 26, 1927 in Venturia, ND to Albert and Lydia (Thurn) Dockter. Violet had an older sister Leona and two younger brothers Elmer and Leonard.
On February 26, 1953 she married Raymond Richard Brosz. There were three children born to that marriage: Joan (Don) Pudwill, Tim (Andrea) Brosz, and Jeff (Lorraine) Wolf. They made their home in Ashley, ND until Ray passed away on November 19, 1957.
Violet married Walter Wolf in 1961 and remained married to him until he died.
In her later years she married Max Neilan of Bonesteel, SD.
She is survived by her three children; six grandchildren: Jon (Laura) Pudwill, Tel, Corey, and Josh Pudwill, Michael (Melissa) Wolf, and Lindsay Wolf; three great grandchildren: Emily, Maddia, and Noah Pudwill; two brothers Elmer (Betty) Dockter and Leonard (Mavis) Dockter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant son: baby Brosz, one sister Leona Bertsch and brother-in-law August Bertsch.
Violet worked on the family farm and enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, needlework, and sewing.
In 1967 she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She went on many trips with her children to conventions, assemblies, and to visit family. Violet entertained many friends in her home. She loved to visit about the Bible. Violet was known for her many stories and trying out new recipes.
On July 15, 2014 she entered the nursing home in Gregory, SD as a result of her battle with cancer. During these trying times, she enjoyed listening in on the meetings through a phone hookup.
Violet passed away peacefully on November 1, 2014 at the age of 87.
Job 14:14,15 - " If a man dies, can he live again? I will wait all the days of my compulsory service until my relief comes. You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands."

Memorial services for Violet Neilan were held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Gregory, SD with Jeremy Gould officiating.
Music was "He Will Call" and "See Yourself When All is New."
Nancy Samuelson was in charge of registration.
Brianna Gould was the flower attendant.
Inurnment was Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, SD with Greg Herrboldt officiating.
