Blanche M. Freitag, 83 of Cambridge, Ohio (formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio) passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Victorian Oaks, Cambridge, Ohio.
She was born near Malvern, Ohio on August 22, 1929 a daughter of the late Harry Harrison Leggett and Myrtle Olive John Stoffer Leggett.
Blanche was a retired L.P.N. and store clerk; a charter member of the First Baptist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio and also the Highland Baptist Church, Grove City, Ohio; and a former member of the Woodsfield Emergency Squad and a former member of the Pythian Sisters, Lydia Chapter, Woodsfield, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin A. "Bus" Freitag on April 9, 1985; a daughter, Sharol Marie Moore; six brothers, Emery, Joe, Duane, James, John Leggett and Loyal Stoffer; and one sister, Jean Grogg.
Surviving are one daughter and her husband, one son, two sisters, a son-in-law (Widower of daugher Sharol) and his (new) wife, a sister-in-law, Eunice Dailey (who later died in 2014), five grandchildren, four step grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the First Baptist Church, 114 N. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday where funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday with Tommy Mills officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Middle Church Cemetery near Lewisville, Ohio.
