Birth: Jun. 3, 1924 Watkins McCone County Montana, USA Death: May 28, 2011 Miles City Custer County Montana, USA Herbert Otto Moos Herbert Otto Moos, 86, of Miles City, formerly of Brockway, died Thursday, May 28, 2011, at the Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City. Mr. Moos was born in Watkins June 3, 1924, the son of Henry and Lydia Knopp Moos. He grew up on the family farm in the Watkins community near Brockway where he attended country school. He attended high school at Terry. On Oct. 13, 1951, he and Elsie Guthmiller were married in Medina, N.D. After high school, he returned to the family farm where they farmed and ranched until 1976. Shortly after retiring from farming and ranching, Mr. and Mrs. Moos moved to Miles City where they made their home. Mr. Moos was a member of the First Lutheran Church. His survivors include his brothers: Albert Moos of Brockway and Edwin Moos of Circle; his sisters: Edna Rogerson of Terry and Ella Fredrickson of Sheridan, Wyo.; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lydia Moos; and his wife, Elsie Moos. Funeral services will be Friday, June 3, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
