Birth: Dec. 15, 1869, Germany Death: Nov. 7, 1947 Gilman Taylor County Wisconsin, USA Joseph Fleischmanm dies at Gilman Home 1947 Star News Joseph Fleischmann prominent Gilman resident, died at his home there, last Friday, November 7. He was 77 years old. Born in Germany on December 15, 1869, the deceased came to Gilman as a pioneer in 1908. He started the first general store in that village and served as the first postmaster for several years, and as school clerk for 26 years. He was married to Mary Ann Adler of Marshfield on November 24, 1896. Three of their seven children survive: Mrs. Hugh C Smith and Mrs. Adolph Ruhl, Chicago, and John Fleischmann of Osborne, Kansas. There are seven grandchildren and two brothers, Charles and Louis Fleischmann of Fifield. Mrs. Fleischmann preceded him in death on January 14, 1947...Interment was made in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
