LeRoy Faul, 84, of Anamoose, formerly of Harvey died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at his apartment.
Celebration of Life Services for LeRoy and his predeceased wife Evelyn will be held at the Cornerstone Community Church South Campus, Harvey with interment in the Country Mennonite Brethren Cemetery, Harvey on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
LeRoy was born June 1, 1935 near Harvey, ND to Charlie F. and Carolina (Seibel) Faul. LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife; parents; thirteen brothers and sisters, Artvin, Tony, Leander, Loretta Reiswig, Linda Liebelt, Gideon, Helen Fadenrecht, Alyce Loewen, Robert, Carolyn Klein, John, Bennie and JoAnn Isaak; three siblings died at birth or in infancy, Hilda and twins Lawrence and Florence. LeRoy married Evelyn Good on July 29, 1962 at the Church of the Nazarene in Velva. She went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2016. Survivors include nieces and nephews of three generations living in various locations throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad. He grew up on the family farm, attended school near it, and lived on, and farmed there until his retirement in 2003. He was also a mechanic and enjoyed working on old cars, trucks and tractors. He enjoyed adding to his collections of runner snow sleds and other antiques and collectables. He moved to Anamoose in June 2018. LeRoy loved the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his Savior at an early age. He loved singing hymns about his Lord and Savior, playing the organ and trombone in worshipful praise and adoration within his home and in worship services in the church.
Evelyn was born July 28th 1934 in Velva, North Dakota to Jesse W. and Alice (Putney) Good. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers Jesse L and Elton C Good. Evelyn married LeRoy on July 29, 1962 and the Velva Church of the Nazarene. She went home to be with her Savior on February 18th 2016. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a school teacher in the Harvey school district from 1957 thru 1992. She went on to become Superintendent of Schools for Wells County for a number of years. Evelyn and LeRoy had no children of their own, but were the ?adopted? parents of dozens of nieces, nephews and family friends. Evelyn was truly a wonderful gift giver, and had the unmatched ability to care for you in thought, in action. Her sincere love is known by 1000?s of students, nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, family and friends. She went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2016. She is now enjoying her reward and I bet it is large!
