Fred Armbrust, 81, Dickinson....
Funeral services for Fred Armbrust, 81, Dickinson, ND, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2001, at Queen of Peace Church, Dickinson, ND. Military Rites will be provided by William C. Blair Post #144. Burial will be at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Dickinson.
Visitation will be at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel on Friday, February 2, 2001 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. led by Belfield K of C #6310, followed by a prayer service led by Deacon Al Hibl. Viewing on Saturday, February 3, 2001 at Queen of Peace from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Fred Armbrust was born March 10, 1919 to Kasper and Margareta (Hoerner) Armbrust. He was raised on the family farm 18 miles North of Belfield and attended St. Joseph's Catholic School for 5 years and country school. Fred married Emilia (Stoltz) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson, on June 11, 1947. They made their home 18 miles north of Belfield on a farm and ranch. Fred served in the US Army from October 5, 1942 until February 25, 1946. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6310, The Eagles, German Hungarian and American Legion #144 Belfield. Fred enjoyed both farming and ranching for all his years on the farm.
Fred is survived by his wife, Emilia; one son, David (Dorothy) Armbrust, Belfield, ND; two daughters, Sandra Riehl, Mandan, ND, Darlene (Steve) Kruger, Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren, Karl Riehl, Bryan Armbrust, Roxanne Armbrust, Aundrea Riehl, Brianna Kruger, Keri Riehl, Alex Kruger; one brother, Joseph (Anna Mae) Armbrust; two sisters, Florence Logsdon, San Diego, CA, Rose Kirking, Coeur D'Alene, ID.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister.
