Harry P. Froehlich was born April 20, 1914 to Hironymus and Barbara (Klug) Froehlich in Stark County. He grew up and attended the local country school while helping on the family homestead. During the Depression, Harry took the train to Missoula, MT where he found work as a logger. He later returned home to Dickinson where he bought back the Froelich homestead that had been lost due to the Depression. On June 10, 1946, Harry married Helen Rebel in St. Stephen's Catholic Church. The couple made their home on the family farmstead until 1960 when the family moved to a ranch north of New Hradec. Harry & Helen worked on the Ranch until they retired in 1976 and moved to Dickinson. While living in town Harry became a Watkins Salesman. They had one daughter, Harriette, and two granddaughters, Andrea and Paula who were his pride and joy.
Harry enjoyed playing Pinochle, fixing things, dancing, and bowling. He took pleasure in visiting and talking with friends and neighbors and he had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include: his wife, Helen of Dickinson, ND; his daughter, Harriette (Lee) Rebsom of Dickinson, ND; two granddaughters: Andrea Rebsom of Dickinson, ND and Paula Rebsom of Eugene, OR.
