Ethel Kimmle
Ethel M. Kimmle, nee Laux, 93, of Mascoutah, Ill., born Apr. 10, 1917, in Lookingglass Township, Ill., died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at the Grange Nursing Home in Mascoutah, Ill.
Mrs. Kimmle was a homemaker, a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, Ill.; St. John Women's Guild; Mascoutah Women of the Moose Chapter 392; and Mascoutah Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Estella, nee Krauth, Laux; her husband, Udell E. Kimmle whom she married in O'Fallon, Ill., on Apr. 23, 1949, and who died Dec. 6, 2008; a son, Gary Kimmle; a sister, Althea Mehl; and three brothers, Howard, Russell, and Raymond Laux.
Surviving are her sons, Udell "Harry" (Donna) Kimmle and Dennis (Kathy) Kimmle, all of Mascoutah, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Gail Kimmle of Mascoutah, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Chad Kimmle, Todd (Jill) Kimmle, Brian (Kristy) Kimmle, Scott Kimmle, Sean (Lisa) Kimmle, Kelly (Pablo) Kimmle-Lopez, Adam Kimmle, Matthew (Amber) Kimmle and Nicholas (Danielle) Kimmle; seven great-grandchildren, Gracie, Cheyanne, Matthew, Ava, Gavin, Vance, and Sidney Kimmle; two brothers, Eugene (Pauline) Laux, and Donald (Laverne) Laux, all of New Baden, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Frances Zotz of Lebanon, Ill.; a dear friend, Loretta Christ; nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ; the Grange Nursing Home; or Family Hospice. Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, Ill. There will be a Women of the Moose Ritual at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, Ill., with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Ill.
