Zoeller 84; U.S. Navy retiree A funeral Mass for retired U.S. Navy Capt. Robert J. Zoeller, 84, of New Albany, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial in New Albany National Cemetery. He died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at his home. He was a native of New Albany, a retired resident engineer for the New Albany-Floyd County School Corp. and was a member of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association and the United States Naval Academy Blue and Gold Association. He was a member of the American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Z. Wellons and husband, Philip, Cambridge, Mass.; a granddaughter, Clara Bir Wellons, Cambridge, Mass.; two brothers, David and Urban Zoeller, New Albany and a sister, Margaret "Cissie" Drake Veath, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Bir Zoeller and two brothers, Jack Zoeller and James F. Zoeller. Arrangements are being handled by Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Michael J.
