Richard Berger, 75, formerly of Bismarck-Mandan, passed away Aug. 30, 2009, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center, Las Cruces, N.M., following complications from knee replacement surgery. Cremation will take place in New Mexico and no services will be held as per Richard's wishes.Richard had been a salesman most of his life and at one time partnered with his brother Clifford in the ownership of El Rancho Mobile Homes and El Rancho Mobile Home Park in Mandan. Once the children had graduated from high school and college, he and his wife Virginia moved back to Bismarck where they managed their apartment buildings. In 2003, Richard and Virginia fully retired and moved south to Las Cruces, where Richard would wait patiently for spring to arrive so he could return to North Dakota to fish the Missouri River and nearby lakes.
