Birth: Dec. 26, 1920 Wishek McIntosh County North Dakota, USA Death: Jan. 1, 1964 Miles City Custer County Montana, USA Parents - Ferdinand and Dorothy Rudolph Meidinger Oscar Meidinger, 43, of Terry passed away Wednesday in the Miles City VA Hospital where he was a heart attack patient. He suffered a heart attack about two weeks ago, and was a patient in the Prairie Community Hospital for several days before being transferred to Miles City. He was born December 26, 1920, at Wishek ND, and attended schools there. He entered military service December 11, 1942, and served with the 2nd Infantry Regiment, until October 15, 1945. He fought in the Rhineland, Central Europe, and the Ardennes. He was wounded in Germany March 20, 1945. During the war, he was married to Manda Ketterling of Wishek on May 11, 1943. Following the war Meidingers farmed near Wishek, and he served as Veterran's Service Officer there for several years. They also operated a cafe in Wishek. The family moved to Terry in 1956 and operated the Roy Rogers Cafe for four or five years. He later worked for Frette Implement Co. for about a year and a half, and recently became manager of theAmerican Legion Club in Terry.
