Obituary for Margaret Renner
Margaret Renner, 87, Mandan, died March 23, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Care Center in Bismarck.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND with Deacon Bob Wingenbach presiding. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a CDA Rosary at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Margaret was born on December 26, 1928 to John and Marianna (Silbernagel) Daschle in Napoleon, ND. She was raised and educated in Mandan. She married Michael V. Renner on June 16, 1948 in Bismarck. Margaret had an exceptional work ethic and worked for Woolworth in both Bismarck and Mandan for 20 years and the US Postal Service in Bismarck for over 20 years retiring in her mid-70’s. Margaret loved to shop and collect beanie babies and Princess Di and Shirley Temple memorabilia. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, her positive attitude made any situation seem much better than it was. She had beautiful flower gardens and tended to them with great care. She was a Gold Star Mother and was Chaplain for many years for the American Legion Axillary. Above all her family was her pride and joy; she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Margaret will be deeply missed by her daughter, Mary Kay Neibauer, Mandan, ND; son, Tim Renner, Surprise, AZ and grandchildren, Morgan Renner and Heather (Shane) Voegele.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike in 2008; son, John; and brothers, Joseph and Tom Daschle.
The Renner family would like to thank the St. Vincent’s Care Center for the wonderful care given to Margaret during her stay.
