Esther R. Dimmig, 88, of Quakertown, died Wednesday, December 29, in her home. She was the loving wife of Burton L. Dimmig for 65 years. Born in Brick Tavern, Milford Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Verna (Barnhart) Ream. She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Quakertown, and a former member of First Church of the Brethren, Quakertown, where she was on the choir for more than 50 years, served as treasurer and past president of Womens Work, was a Sunday school teacher and helped with the Worship and Witness Commission. She was a deacons wife for many years. She was a loving mother to daughters, Karen Dimmig of Bethlehem, Judi Hill and husband John of Allentown, and sons, David of Quakertown, Gary and wife Alice of East Greenville, grandmother to Dean, Debbie, Sheri, Kimberly, Heather, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Justin and Laura, great-grandmother to 15, sister to Kathryn Rotenberger of Quakertown, Anita Benner and husband John of Manheim, and Donald C. Ream and wife Millie of West Trenton, N.J.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, January 3, Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Quakertown.
Interment will be in Springfield Brethren Cemetery, Passer. Family and friends are invited to call 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler St., Quakertown, and 10-11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, in the church.
