Funeral Mass for Alvera Schuld, 87, of Stillwater, MN, formerly of Dickinson, ND will be 10 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2007 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dickinson with Father Claude Seeberger celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home, with a Rosary and Vigil service taking place 7 p.m.
Alvera passed away Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Stillwater Good Samaritan Home in Stillwater, MN.
Alvera M. Schuld entered eternal life on November 26, 2007 at The Good Samaritan Home in Stillwater, Minnesota with her children at her side. Alvera was born September 12, 1920 in Richardton, ND, the third of eight children to Rochus Brilz and Margaret (Renner) Brilz. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in Richardton. Alvera worked as a nurse for Dr. Chris Dukart prior to her marriage to John F. Schuld on January 28, 1948. The couple lived in Boulder, Colorado briefly where Alvera worked as a nurse until the birth of her first daughter. They then moved to Dickinson which remained Alvera's home until this past summer.
Alvera devoted her life to her family, her church and her community. She was an avid gardener, a great cook, a fabulous baker and enjoyed her monthly bridge clubs. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Patrick's Church Perpetual Adoration Society, the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She was a caring volunteer, including many hours spent visiting with residents of Saint Benedict's and Saint Luke's Nursing Homes.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bonita, Don (Charlotte Marquart) both of Stillwater, MN; Susan (Al) Palmer of Tulsa, OK and Tom (Gail Morland) of Minneapolis, MN; brothers Gene Brilz of Chandler, AZ; George Brilz of Boise, ID and Arnold Brilz of Minot, ND. She will be cherished by her seven grandchildren, Eric, Sarah, Mike, Kelly, Ethan, Carter and Hadley.
Alvera was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, brothers Al and Ed Brilz; and sisters Eleanor Slag and Ida Brilz.
