Funeral Mass for Florence Haag, 72, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005 at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Dennis Schafer, celebrating. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Dickinson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson.
Florence passed away March 6, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center.
Florence was born August 31, 1932 in Dunn County, North Dakota, the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Boespflug) Roshau. She grew up and attended country schools in the New Hradec area. On December 27, 1951, Florence married Leo N. Haag in Dickinson, where they made their home and raised their family. To this union four children were born, Gerald, Mary Jane, Thomas, and Laurie. Florence worked for the Dickinson Public School system for 30 years as Head Cook. She retired in 2003 and continued to make Dickinson her home. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Homemakers Club, and was a Campfire Leader. Florence enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, camping, fishing, playing cards, and traveling. She loved her husband, children, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and always had a joke to tell.
Survivors include her husband, Leo Haag; one son, Gerald (Petrina) Haag, Dickinson; two daughters, Mary Jane (Dick) Brown, Anchorage, AK and Laurie (Wyatt) Godes, Green Bay, WI; eight grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Lee, and Kira Haag, Lisa and Scott (Robyn) Brown, Cassandra and Kayla Godes; five brothers, Ralph (Alice) Roshau, Charles (Jeannie) Roshau, Bob (Sharon) Roshau, Joseph (Mary) Roshau, all of Dickinson, and Richard (Marlene) Roshau, Hazen, ND; six sisters, Anne Bullinger Helfrich, Frances Bullinger, Pauline (Bill) Sadowsky, and Kathryn (Ray) Jilek, all of Dickinson, Delores (Richard) Franchuk and Margaret (Bob) Clark, all of Missoula, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Thomas; one brother, Harry; one sister, Irene; two infant brothers; four brothers-in-law, Pete Bullinger, Ed Haag, Tony Bullinger, and Fred Koenig; two sisters-in-law, Clementine Hartman and Maggie Roshau; two nieces and two nephews.
