Klapperich, age 60, of Adams, died suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born June 15, 1945, in Osage, Iowa, to Edward and Mary (Schmit) Klapperich. He graduated from Adams High School in 1963. He was a farmer and hog producer in the Adams area his whole life. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Root River Antique Tractor Association. Larry also enjoyed fishing and boating. He is survived by his sisters: Bonnie (Bob) Lammers, of Rosemount, Minn.; Doris (Darrell) Knutson, of Rochester, Minn.; brother, Don Klapperich, of Burnsville, Minn.; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with Father James Seitz officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Adams. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 until the time of the service. Organist will be Helen King. Soloist will be Virginia Bissen. Casket bearers will be Nathan Klapperich, Joseph Lammers, William Lammers, Russell Stolen, David Vornwald and Dale Schleusner. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Larry was a classmate of mine.
