He was a son of Charles and Anna (Hauter) Clifford. On Sep 14, 1946, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, he married Dorothy Wieman, who preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Charles "Tim", St. Marys; a daughter, MaDonna (Mark) Puthoff, Chickasaw; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, William and Stanley Clifford; two sisters, Mary Beckstedt Grimm and Thelma Hardin; and an infant daughter, Mary Diane. He attended Celina City Schools and received his diploma in recognition of his World War II service. He was a self-employed furniture refinisher and upholster. He was a World War II veteran who had been a member of the VFW and the American Legion in St. Marys and the Disabled American Veteran's. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Church, with the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating.
