Marie (nee Schaeffer) Thill, devoted wife and mother, age 89, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 10, 2005. She was born on June 13, 1916 to John and Regina Schaeffer of Campbellsport, WI. Marie attended Holy Trinity Catholic School in Kewaskum. Her father always called her his "best hired man". Marie marred Albert Thill of Random Lake on October 25, 1939. They operated "Thill Farms" on Hwy K near Dacada since 1942. The farm is now owned and operated by their youngest son, Vince. Albert preceded Marie in death on October 2, 1998. Besides being an active farmer until the age of 85, Marie was an avid animal lover, gardener, quilter, and cook. She was devoted to helping the clergy, as was instilled in her by her Godfather/Uncle, Monsignor Peter Paul Schaeffer, and her Aunt Sister Cyrilla. She was an avid Roy Rogers & Dale Evans fan. She was known and loved by friends and family for quick wit, sense of humor, love of baby calves, great farm meals and her willingness to be of help to all. Marie is survived by her three sons: Albert of Hollywood, Florida; Jerry (Becky)of Richardson, Texas; Vince (Barbara) of Random Lake; daughter Laura (Chuck) Michelle of Cocoa, Florida; son-in-law Sam Arendt of Random Lake, sister Rose Weddig of Oshkosh, brother Gerald (Eunice) Schaeffer of Kewaskum, brothers-in-law Elmer (Ann) Thill of West Bend and Halbert Rheingans of Random Lake; ten grandchildren: Nick (Jamie) Thill of Lincoln, Nebraska, Heather, Stacey and Erin Thill of St. Paul, MN, Barbara (Bill) Arnold of Atlanta GA, Jennifer Thill and Mike Gaydos both of Richardson, TX, Angela Thill and Amy Pardee, both of Sheboygan, Scott Thill of Random Lake; two great-grandsons, and many loving and devoted friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1998, her daughter, Betty Thill Arendt in 2002, her brother, Paul Schaeffer, her sister Cyrilla Schaeffer Tischendorf; brothers-in-law, Al Tischendorf and Ed Weddig; sisters-in-law Loretta Thill Rheingans and Lorraine Thill. Visitation will be from 10am to NOON on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at St. Nicholas Church in Dacada and will be followed by a funeral mass and service in celebration of Marie's life at NOON, officiated by Father Guy Gurath. Burial will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Dacada. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Lakes School.
