Born at Gueldendorf, Russia, daughter of Georg Jakob Ehret and Anna Maria Sophia Redinger, married February 15, 1877, to Johann Rudolph Sr.

Mrs. Dorothea Rudolph, 85, widow of John Rudolph of Napoleon, died January 16, 1942, in a Jamestown hospital. She leaves 108 descendents.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Napoleon, from the Evangelical church with Reverend John Fischer officiating and burial was in the Napoleon Cemetery beside the grave of her husband.
Dorothea Ehret was born in Russia October 14, 1856, and was married at Gueldendorf, Russia, to John Rudolph 66 years ago. They made their first home in Russia where six of their eight children were born.
The family came to the United States in 1889 and located at Eureka, South Dakota. In 1892, they came to Logan County and homesteaded in the "Flat." They remained on the farm until 1909 when they moved to Streeter. In 1929 they moved to Idaho and in 1933 returned to make their home at Jamestown. Mr. Rudolph died February 28, 1941, at the age of 85.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters, John and Matt of Napoleon, Charles of Jamestown, Jacob and George of Kimberly, Idaho, Mrs. Dorothea Hochhalter of Lodi, California, Mrs. Catherine Fechner and Mrs. Christina Reich of Sacramento, California.
She leaves 67 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
