  [S927] Obituary. Obituary for Thomas B. Koetter Thomas B. Koetter, age 93 of Sulphur Bluff, TX, passed away April 23, 2017. He was born April 22, 1924, in Windthorst, TX, to Bernard and Josephine (Veitenheimer) Koetter. Thomas served his country in the U.S. Army. He was owner of Koetter Fire Protection Company in Dallas and retired in 1994. Thomas then began his lifelong dream of being a full-time cattle rancher. He married Teresia Birkenfeld November 22, 1948, and they shared 64 years until her death in 2013. Thomas is survived by daughter: Sabrina Lewis and husband Kenneth of Sulphur Springs, TX; son: Samuel Koetter and wife Debra of Porter, TX; sisters: Mary Meyers, Ida Tothe, and Bertha Kile; grandchildren: Erica Peethumnongsin and husband Pavel of Durham, NC, Thomas Banda of Las Vegas, NV, and Carol Rannik of Austin, TX; great-grandchildren: Morgan and Madison Rannik. He was preceded in death by his wife Teresia, parents, grandson Samuel Lewis, one brother and four sisters. Funeral services will be held 10:00am Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Sacred Heart Mausoleum Chapel with Msgr. Leon Duesman officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Chapel Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
