Veronica Martha Bender was born January 18, 1937, the daughter of Peter and Bertha (Berreth) Bender in LaMoure, ND. She was raised and educated in Ellendale, ND. Upon the completion of her education, she continued to reside and work in Ellendale. Veronica married Henry Fredrick on April 10, 1960 in Ellendale. Following their marriage, they lived in Ellendale until moving to Grand Forks 1n 1976. She was employed with the Housekeeping Department of the University of North Dakota until her retirement in 1999. Veronica was a loving person with a warm sense of humor. She enjoyed baking and loved listening to "Polka Time" on Sunday afternoons. She was a selfless person, always putting others before herself. She is survived by, her husband, Henry; sons, Dean (Loris) Fredrick, Bismarck, ND, Jay Fredrick, Grand Forks, ND, Dale Fredrick, Silverdale, WA, Donald (Dianne) Howell, Mobridge, SD; sisters, Sally Meyer, Fargo, ND, Edna McKersher, Windom, MN and a brother, Adam Bender, Yankton, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene Bender, Adolph Bender and Michael Bender. Memorial service: 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2006 in The Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel, So.
