Full Obituary: Robert C. SEISS (Age 90) Bob passed away peacefully from natural causes on December 2, 2012. He was born on March 1, 1922 at Deaconess Hospital to Charles and Bertha Seiss. Bob graduated from John Rogers High School in 1941. In 1942, he began his railroad career with the SP&S Railroad and retired as an engineer from the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1983. Bob and his wife, Winifred, traveled to California and Arizona for the winters and also went on several cruises early in their retirement. Their main relaxation came at their place at Gypsy Bay along the shore of the Pend Oreille River near Sandpoint, ID. Here they enjoyed entertaining family and friends every summer. Bob was a member of the Oriental Masonic Lodge #74, Scottish Rite Bodies, El Katif Shrine, Valley Shrine Club, and was a founding member of the Moonshriners. As a member of the Moonshriners, he participated in many local community parades. He also spent many hours volunteering at the Moonshriners Elephant Ear Booth at the Interstate Fair. He was proud of the fact that they were supporting the Shriners Hospital for Children. Bob is survived by his wife, Winifred; son, David Seiss; stepdaughter, Patricia LaMay; sister, Eleanor Schofield; nieces, Linda LaValley, Chris and Anne Schofield; nephews, Andy and Gordon Schofield; cousins, Roger, Judy and Nancy Paine. The family would also like to thank all the caregivers who gave Bob such wonderful care. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA, with Shrine Chaplain Harold Tucker officiating and Rose Croix Funeral Team participating.
