Shirley was born on November 9, 1928 in Humboldt, Kan., the daughter of John Andrew and Zella Mae Horton Sebbert. On September 1, 1950, Shirley married Warren Breiner in Wichita, Kan. Shirley and Warren were married for 50 years before he passed away in 2001. Shirley was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Warren, a son, William Breiner, two brothers, Jack and Bob Sebbert, and three sisters, Kay Jackson, Arlys Sakata and Jane Wilkerson. She is survived by a son James Breiner and wife, Bonnie, of Oregon, a brother Gary Sebbert and wife, Judy, of Iowa, three grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 2 pm at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt, Kan. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service on Friday, July 24, from 12:30 pm. to 1:30 pm at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Kan. Family requests memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home at 101 N. Highland, Chanute. Countryside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
