Beck of Roscoe, a retired owner of Beck's Meat Market in North Branch, died Tuesday, Oct 3, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Comm Gen Hosp in Harris. He was 78 years of age. The son of the late Jacob and Ann Gossweyler Beck, he was b. Aug 2, 1922, in Buck Brook. Mr. Beck was a member of the North Branch Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hemmer Beck, at home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Mickey Sazoff of Liberty, Gail and Robert Ludwig of Parksville and Cindy and Guy DeLuca of Hortonville; and two grandsons, Jason and Tim Sazoff. Funeral Svc. will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon with the Rev. Audrey Pedersen officiating. Burial will be made in the North Branch Lutheran Cem. in North Branch. Memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Delaware Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 228, Hankins, N.Y. 12741 or to the North Branch Fire Dept, North Branch, N.Y. 12766.
