Birth: Jan. 22, 1929 North Dakota, USA Death: Feb. 14, 2010 Bottineau Bottineau County North Dakota, USA A Memorial service for Gladys Arneson, age 81 of Willow City, was held on Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the 1st Lutheran Church in Willow City. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery rural Willow City. Cremation has taken place. Officiating at the service was the Reverend Tim Solberg. Martha Larson was the organist. Honorary bearers were all of Gladys's friends in attendance at the service. Gladys Arneson, a daughter of Fred and Magdalena (Brandt) Wittmayer, was born on January 22, 1929 at Kramer, ND. After her education she worked in the area. On November 23, 1947 she was married to Orris Arneson. They made their home in Willow City where she raised the children and was active in the community. Orris died on February 24, 2005. Gladys has resided in Willow City since. She was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church and a member of the Willow City American Legion Auxiliary. Gladys enjoyed gardening and doing yard work. Gladys passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010 in a Bottineau hospital. She is survived by her 3 sons, Ron Arneson and his wife Brenda of Bottineau, Mike Arneson and his wife Cathy of Bismarck and Tim Arneson and his wife Susan of Polson, MT; 2 daughters, Debora Arneson of Willow City and Susan and her husband Gerald Miller of Inkster, ND; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and a brother, Harley Wittmayer of Minot. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leo, Lloyd, Clifford, Edmund, Melvin, Orval, Clarence and Armand; and a sister Esther Gouin.
