  [S927] Obituary. SELFRIDGE — Ricky Harley Schnabel, 59, Selfridge, passed away Oct. 28, 2015, at his home. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Ricky was born Dec. 22, 1955, to Harley and Virginia (Pfeifle) Schnabel in Eureka, S.D., where the family lived until moving near Ashley in October 1968. He worked on the farm with his parents, until 1985. He served in the North Dakota National Guard from 1976 to 1988. In 1994, he moved to Selfridge and married Marilu St. John on Oct. 26, 1998. She passed away on Jan. 5, 2011. Ricky worked for Mike Sandland as a welder, and later began his own handy man business in Selfridge. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Schnabel, Wishek; three sisters, Juanita (Ronnie) Feil, Ashley, Paula (Ron) Kleinsasser, Dickinson, and Maria (Kurt) Reidman, Dazey; one brother, Garrett (Carol) Schnabel, Valley City; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
