She was born Dec. 7, 1918, in Kenney, the daughter of Truman and Cora Mae Slocum Herter. She was preceded in death by a brother, John; and sister, Anna Russell. Miss Herter was a food broker for Glatz Bros. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and various masonic organizations. Surviving are three sisters, Rosemary Cleeton of Springfield, Katheryn Perdun of Peoria and Louise Indictor of Kingman, Ariz.; brother, T. F. "Bud" Herter of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Following cremation, graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jerene Houser officiating. Ellinger-Kunz and Davis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
