Chuck. Hazlett officiating. Burial will be in Custer Cemetery. Meyer died Thursday at Custer Community Hospital. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was born March 11, 1925, at Highmore to Julius and Louise (Heckenliable) Meyer. He was educated in the Highmore schools. As a young man, he acquired a farm in the Faulkton area and spent his lifetime farming. He married Joan Marker on Sept. 18, 1948, at Faulkton. Six years ago they retired to Custer. He enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include his wife of Custer; five sons, Donald Meyer of Pueblo, Colo., David Meyer of Foun¬tain, Colo., Dennis and Darren Meyer, both of Custer, and Dale Meyer of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; one daughter, Carol (Mrs. David) Doll of Custer; his mother, Louise Meyer of Hecla; five brothers, Ervin Meyer of Northville, Wilbur Meyer of Miranda, Delbert Meyer of Redfield, Robert Meyer of Orient and Fred Meyer of Hecla; four sisters, Delores (Mrs. Ed) Shepard of Pierre, Charmaine (Mrs. Don) Smiley of Albuquerque, N.M., Leona (Mrs. Don) Brooks of Anaheim, Calif., and Shirley Leigh of Aberdeen; and 10 grandchildren.
