Katherine E. Ennis
(Died January 29, 2013)
Funeral services for Katherine E. Ennis, 94, of Toledo, Ohio will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Home for Funerals with Reverend Cindi Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to services at Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Ennis died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo.
She was born in Freeman, SD on December 13, 1918 to Frank and Lea (Berreth) Bartsch. Katherine was first married to Victor Bonser and later to Leverett Ennis. They both preceded her in death. She had worked as a sales clerk for twelve years at Hested’s Co. in Norfolk, NE and also as a mental health worker for eight years. She was a member of the Westridge United Methodist Church in Norfolk, Asbury United Methodist Church in Toledo, a life member of the V.F.W., and was a Past Noble Grand of the Rebekkah Lodge I.O.O.F..
She is survived by children, Shirley L. (Keith) Schlender of Holland, OH, Leo D. (Nancy) Bonser of Humble, TX, Rodney J. Bonser Ennis of Winner, SD; stepson, Donald Ennis of Citrus Heights, CA; daughter-in-law, Marian Bonser; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Idelette “Penny” (Ed) Gilbertson of Woodbury, MN.
She was preceded in death by sons, George V. Bonser, Sr. and James E. Bonser; stepdaughter, Helen Barry; grandson, Randy Bonser, brother, Frank Bartsch, sister, Laura Peters and daughter-in-law, Joanne Bonser.
