MOVILLE, Iowa -- Nancy Ann Rose, 65, of Moville died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon, Iowa, with Earl Rose officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs, Iowa. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.
Nancy A. Rose was born Sept. 7, 1944, to Haskell and Marian (Forney) Piercy of Holly Springs. Nancy attended Holy Springs School and graduated from Westwood High School in 1962.
She married her high school sweetheart, Glen E. Rose, on July 22, 1962. They had been married for 41 years when Glen passed away in 2006. The couple raised their family in rural Hornick, Iowa, until moving to Texas in 1987, where they owned a woodworking shop until 2003. She enjoyed working with Glen in the shop and going to Mexico on weekends. Nancy moved back to Iowa after Glen's death. She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and close family friends and her faithful dog, Toby.
She is survived by her son, Todd A. Rose and special friend, Angela of Onawa, Iowa; three grandchildren, Trisha R. Rose and fiance, Jason Adams of Aberdeen, S.D., Brett A. Rose of Moville, and Katrina K. Rose of Moville; a great-grandson, Nolan W. Adams of Aberdeen; a brother, Charles Piercy and his wife, Barbra of Harligen, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Kim K. Rose of Moville; and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three infant sons.
