Darrel J. Weber, 67, of Hornick died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 1988, of injuries suffered in a tractor accident at his farm.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church in Hornick with the Rev. Gary DeGeest and the Rev. Walter Enstrom officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery at Holly Springs. Visitation will be after noon today with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.
Mr. Weber was born Oct. 6, 1920, rural Holly Springs and graduated from Holly Springs High School in 1938. He married Lillie Sierks Polly June 26, 1983, in Sloan. He was a farmer and had been employed for 37 years at the ASCS Office, retiring in 1985.
Mr. Weber was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Church, German City; Hornick Town Council; Order of Moose Lodge 752, Sergeant Bluff; Attica Masonic Lodge 502 AF&AM of Sloan; Scottish Rites Bodies; Sioux City Consistory, and the Clown and Foot Patrol Units of Abu Bekr Shrine Temple.
Survivors include his father, John Weber of Whiting; his wife; two stepsons, Ronald E. Polly of Smithland and Norman C. Polly of Rosamond, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Sharon Prichard of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Johnny (Vicky) Marks of Omaha and Mrs. Dennis (Susan) Wiggs of Onawa; 15 step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Weber and an infant brother.
