Birth: Aug. 2, 1924 Death: Aug. 7, 2008 Elgin Arthur Duley , a native of Dexter, Mo., and a longtime resident of Mobile, died Thursday at a local hospital. He was 84. A member of Holy Family Catholic Church, he was active in Knights of Columbus Council No. 666 and had attained the third and fourth degrees. He retired from GAF Corp. after 45 years. He was also active with the Joe Jefferson Players. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Duley is survived by his wife of 61 years, Adell Ketchum Duley of Mobile; two daughters, Laura Davis of Mobile and Theresa Grebs of O'Brien, Fla.; a son, Elgin Arthur Duley Jr. of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Mary Fail; and a brother, Walter Duley , both of Mobile; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens, with Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street directing.
