Walter Ray Duley, age 79, passed away at his residence in Bogalusa, LA.
Mr. Duley was born is Dexter, MO on March 2, 1929 to Rev. Archio and Lucinda Blevins Duley. He served proudly in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was awarded two Bronze Stars.
Survived by: 2 Daughters, Carrie Rae (Derek) Knight of Crossroads, MS and Wayla Carol Duley of Bogalusa, LA;
2 Sons, Alan Ray Duley of Poplar Bluff, MO and Lester Ray Duley of Bloomfield, MO;
1 Brother, Lawrence Duley of Dexter, MO;
4 Grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Nielsen, Bruce Allen Dixon, Jr., Olivia Grace Dixon and Kristian Antonio Velasquez.
Preceded in death by: His Parents, Rev. Archio and Lucinda Blevins Duley;
3 Brothers,Merle Duley, Melvin Duley and Leo Duley;
2 Sisters, Gwendolyn Duley and Genevieve Lobbs.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home at 5:30 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008.
Funeral Service will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with the Interment to follow at the American Legion Post #24 Veterans Plot in the Ponemah Cemetery with a Military Graveside Service by the Magic City American Legion Post #24 on Thursday, November 13, 2008.
