  [S927] Obituary. Obituary for Wilbert Mosbrucker Wilbert Mosbrucker, age 82, died December 2, 2015 after a 9 year battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Center with Fr. Selva Periannan as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Martin’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Center with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7:00. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Wilbert was born January 12, 1933 in Center, ND, the son of Martin and Eva (Barnhardt) Mosbrucker. He was raised in rural Oliver County and educated at a country school west of Center. He married Marie Friedig on October 15, 1957 and they made their home on the family farm where they raised their seven children. Wilbert was an avid farmer and enjoyed running his John Deere tractors. He retired and moved to Center in 2000. He enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and loved his time with family and friends. He especially loved teaching his grandchildren to play pinochle. Blessed to have shared his life are his wife of 58 years, Marie; two sons, Kevin (Terri), Center, ND, Marty, Leominster, MA, and five daughters, Julie (Angelo) Demetres, Glendale, AZ, Brenda (Keith) Vitek, Center, ND, Sherry (Mitch) Carlson, Portland, OR, Tracie (Dave) Tveito, West Fargo, ND and Toni (John) McQuillan, Grand Forks, ND; 16 grandchildren, Jayden, Paige, and Garrett Mosbrucker, Lisa Mosbrucker, Lexus and Nicholas Demetres, Ashley, Rachel and Morgan Vitek, Brittany and Zachary Carlson, Brandon, Katelyn, and Carson Tveito, and Brady and Rylie McQuillan; one brother, Lyle (Karen), and in-laws, Melvin Geiger, Ray Friedig, Duane (Leona) Friedig, and Edward (Shirley) Hilzendeger and many nieces and nephews. Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenny (Rosalee) Mosbrucker; two sisters, Laverne (Kasper) Huck and Karen Geiger, in-laws, Joseph and Magdalen Friedig and Betty Friedig. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to the Oliver County Ambulance Service or a charity of the donor’s choice.
