He attended school and grew up on a farm in the Center area. Adam served in the US Merchant Marines during WWII. He married Marie Weber on Oct. 21, 1946 in Mandan, ND. They lived in WA and Mandan until moving to West Fargo in 1954. Adam worked as a construction carpenter, including many years with T. F. Powers Construction of Fargo.
