Monica Agnes Vogel, 72, Bismarck, passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2004. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, at the Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Edwin Wehner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 9:00 PM Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service where a rosary will begin at 7:00. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Monica was born June 10, 1931, at Center, ND, to Alexander and Perpetua (Dinius) Mosbrucker. She and her family moved to Bismarck in the early 1940's. Monica met John Phillip Vogel around 1946 and they were married June 28, 1950, in Bismarck.
Monica worked in many positions over the years. Additional schooling allowed her to move into various accounting positions, including her husband's company, Montgomery Wards, and more than 20 years with the North Dakota State Medical Services office. Monica retired over nine years ago. In her retirement she helped with, and enjoyed, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed many hobbies, including reading, cooking, computing, crocheting, fishing, her pets, and working with church projects.
Monica is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, John P. Vogel, and her four children and their spouses, Thomas John and Shirley A. Vogel, Kenneth Alexander and Kay Vogel, Mark Steven and Stella Vogel, and Nancy Kaye and LeRoy Gross, all of Bismarck. Her patience and wisdom will also be missed by her grandchildren, Janelle and Rick Scheett, Jeremiah and Amanda Lund, Jason Vogel, Josh Vogel, Bradley Vogel and by her great-grandchildren, Thomas John, Jacob Alexander, and Sierra Marie. Monica is also survived by her sisters Edna Feist and Hildegard Garross, her brother, Thomas Mosbrucker; her sisters-in-law, Katherine Mosbrucker and Josephine Mosbrucker; and her brother-in-law, Jack Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Elizabeth Dorval, Marge Martin, Pauline Feist, Rose Gabel, and Mary Meyer, and her brothers, Anton Mosbrucker, Harry Mosbrucker, Max Fleckenstein, Adam Mosbrucker, and Herbert Fleckenstein.
