Life Legacy
Mrs. Vera Kolweier of Nashville, Il. departed this
life at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. on
Monday, March 12, 2007 at 6:26A.M. She had attained
the age of 80 years, 9 months and 23 days.
Mrs. Kolweier was born on May 20, 1926 at Little
Prairie, Il. the daughter of Emil and Elizabeth (nee
Lehmann) Blumhorst. She was united in marriage to
Gustav “Gus” Kolweier on May 7, 1944 at Plum Hill,
Il. and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2003.
Vera was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother
and a member of the St. John’s United Church of
Christ at Plum Hill, Il. where she was active in St.
John’s Womens Guild. Vera was a former member of the
Washington County Home Extension, Washington County
Hospital Auxiliary and she was the former secretary
for the Wednesday Night Mens Bowling League at New
Baden, Il. She had also served as the Fish Fry
Chairperson for 25 years and as the chapter mother of
the F.H.A. In previous years she was active in the
Addieville Grade School Eagles Booster Club and was
chosen as the Citizen of the year by the Addieville
Jaycees.
Vera is survived by four sons, Raymond Kolweier
and wife Sandra, Robert Kolweier and wife Sue, Roger
Kolweier and wife Shelley all of Nashville, Il.,
Ronnie Kolweier and wife Sharon of Addieville, Il.,
two daughters, Ruth Ann Richards and husband Gary of
Nashville, Il., and Rhonda Faye Isringhaus and
husband Glen of Okawville, Il., 14 grandchildren,
Annette Hanlon and husband David, Denise Frazier,
Brenda Richter and husband Keith, Shawn Richards,
Dustin Kolweier and wife Mandy, Rustin Kolweier and
wife Theresa, Levi Kolweier and wife Renee, Jessica
Kolweier and fiancé Jared Hasheider, Jacqueline Owens
and husband Errick, Julianne Waltrip and husband
Ryan, Amanda Isringhaus, Melinda Isringhaus, Bailey
Kolweier and Jordan Kolweier; one step-granddaughter,
Stephanie Delaney and husband Geoffery; two step-
grandsons, Adam Stock and wife Joslyn and Jason
Stock; twelve great-grandchildren, Brittany and
MacKenzie Hanlon, Tyler and Ashlynn Frazier,
Samantha, Ethan, Kasten, Hunter and Hailey Kolweier
and Maliyah and Kanoa Owens, Paige Kolweier, 2 step
great-grandchildren, Dylan Niederbach and Destynie
Delaney, other relation and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents and
husband.
Funeral services will be held at St. John’s United
Church of Christ in Plum Hill, Il. Wednesday, March
14, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Don Jones
officiating and with interment in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in
Okawville, Il. on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00
P.M. and on Wednesday from 7:30 A.M. until 9:00 A.M.
and at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the service
hour.
Should friends desire memorial contributions maybe
made to the Okawville Senior Center, St. John
Building Fund or the St. John’s Womens Guild and
will be accepted at the Campagna Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in
Okawville, Il. on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00
P.M. and on Wednesday from 7:30 A.M. until 9:00 A.M.
and at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the service
hour.
