Restore the Guest Book SUESS Carl John Suess, age 74, of Conway, S.C., died Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Conway Medical Center. Mr. Suess was born October 31, 1932 in Manchester, a son of the late Joseph O. and Emma Schaub Suess. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Suess was a retired supervisor with Sikorsky Aircraft with 38 years of service in helicopter manufacturing. He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph M. Suess and one sister, Mary Derbacher. Surviving are his wife, Rose Suess of Conway, S.C.; two daughters, Katherine Snyder and her husband, Gary, of Polk City, Fla. and Jacqueline Banta and her husband, John, of Milford; five grandchildren, Edward Jurczak, Jr., Daryl Snyder, Matthew Banta, Robert Banta and Thomas Banta; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Jurczak and Valerie Jurczak; and one brother, John Suess and his wife, Nancy,. of Conway, S.C. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday in St. James Catholic Church with Father John Silver officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Monday in the church.
