Obituary of Adam Schnabel

Funeral service for Adam Schnabel, 89, Napoleon, ND was held 2 p.m., Friday, November 6, 1992 in Trinity Lutheran Church at Napoleon with Rev. Gary Connors-Nelson and Rev. Cathy Connors-Nelson officiating. He died Monday, November 2, 1992 at the Wishek Community Hospital.
Adam Schnabel was born November 18, 1902 on the family farm home northwest of Lehr to Daniel and Christina (Perman) Schnabel. He received his elementary education at the local rural school. On June 6, 1929 he married Ruth Mueller at his parents farm. The couple made their home on his parents' farm where he farmed until they purchased a farm seven miles north of Napoleon. They lived there until 1968 when they retired and moved into Napoleon.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, a board member and chairman of the building committee when the new church was built, served on the Glendale School Board and Township Board, a charter member of Farmers Union Oil Co., Farmers Elevator Co. Board, a board member of the Prairie Apartments, the Napoleon Lions and the Napoleon Wildlife Club .
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, Napoloen; three sons, Donald Schnabel, Steele, Henry and Peggy Schnabel, Montevideo, MN, Marvin and Marie Schnabel, Napoleon; two daughters, Frances and Bob Kaplan, LaCrosse, WI, Carol and Dean Entzminger, Gackle; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, six sisters and two daughter-in-laws.
Interment was made in the Napoleon Cemetery at Napoleon.
Haut Funeral Home in Wishek was in charge of arrangements.
