ALFRED J. MUNCH SR.
Alfred J. Munch Sr., 72, of rural Elwood died Thursday (June 28, 1968) at Saint Joseph Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Munch was born in Joliet and lived in Elwood the past 43 years. He was employed as a supervisor with the American Can Co. 47 years, retiring seven years ago.
Mr. Munch was a member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and Veronica M. Munch.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, William of Joliet and Alfred Jr. of Edgar Springs, MO; two brother, Walter of Lockport and John Rohder of Joliet; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the Haley Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church at 9.
Burial arrangements are incomplete.
Friends may call from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday.
In the Joliet Herald News, Sunday, June 30, 1968 page 7-C it added - Funeral from the Haley Funeral Home, July 1 at 8:30 to Sacred Heart Church at 9:00. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church.
