[S927] Obituary. Ms. Mary Elizabeth Van Dyke, who had resided with her son C.P. Van Dyke, 1100 Galena road, 20 years died at 2:15 o'clock this morning at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Livengood in Cincinnati township, where she had been staying for the last three weeks. She was 91 years old. The daughter of Christian and Katherine Froehlich Duley, she was born in Reuhnphake, Germany Nov. 19, 1852, and married Charles Van Dyke in Pekin in 1866. Mrs. Van Dyke was a member of the free Methodist church of Hopedale. Surviving are two sons, C.P. Van Dyke, Peoria and John Van Dyke, Peoria; three daughters Mrs. Livengood, Mrs. Clara Devore, Mason City, and Mrs. Katie Montgomery, Gas City, Ind., a brother, Henry Duley, Dester, MO., 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and on great-great-grandchild. Her husband died 32 years ago and three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Funeral sevices will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Preston and Jackson funeral home in Pekin. Burial will be in Miars Cemetery, Elm Grove township, Tazewell County.
