RICHARD YERIAN
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Scott-Specht Funeral Home, Cambridge, for Richard E. "Dick" Yerian, 77, of Cambridge, who died Friday (April 20, 2007) at Southeastern Med. The Rev. Fr. Robert Borer will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Military services will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born March 21, 1930, in Guernsey County, son of the late Robert Yerian Sr. and Louella (Craft) Yerian. Mr. Yerian worked at RCA/NCR for more than 26 years as a maintenance electrician, having retired in 1992. He also retired from maintenance and custodial services at First Baptist Church. He served as an apprentice fireman with the U.S. Navy.
He attended Brown High School, and was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking and playing the drums.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Zelma Karhan; and an infant daughter.
He leaves his wife, Rita M. (Arnold) Yerian, whom he married Nov. 30, 1963; three sons, Nathan J. Yerian of Ft. Wayne, Ind., David L. (Amy) Yerian of Grove City and Aaron B. Yerian of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Hayden C. Yerian and Avery E. Yerian; a brother, Robert Yerian Jr. of Cambridge; and a sister, Gloria Eileen (Ed) Sigman of Cambridge.
